Les Editions iXe soutiennent sans réserve Pinar Selek qui, en 2012, un an après son arrivée en France, publiait chez nous son récit d’exil, Loin de chez moi, mais jusqu’où ? Aujourd’hui, 31 mars, nous venons pour la 5e fois à Istanbul avec la délégation de soutien à Pinar Selek dans l’espoir que le tribunal s’opposera à la décision de la Cour Suprême d’annuler le 4e acquittement prononcé en 2014. Cette décision est un déni de justice flagrant : personne ne peut comprendre que la justice turque se désavoue elle-même en cassant l’un après l’autre les jugements qui ont conclu à l’innocence de Pinar Selek. Si le 4e devait l’être aussi, alors c’est qu’une fois encore il ne s’agit pas de justice mais d’acharnement politique contre notre amie qui, en féministe et en antimilitariste, porte haut les valeurs de liberté, d’engagement, de solidarité.

Editions iXe fully supports Pinar Selek who, in 2012, one year after her arrival in France, published with us her personal story of exile, Far from Home, But How Far? Today, 31 March, we are coming to Istanbul for the 5th time with the Pinar Selek support delegation in the hope that the court will oppose the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the 4th acquittal pronounced in 2014. This decision is a blatant denial of justice: no one can understand that the Turkish justice system is disavowing itself by overturning one after the other the judgments that concluded Pinar Selek’s innocence. If the fourth one were also to be overturned, then it would mean that once again it is not a question of justice but of political persecution of our friend who, as a feminist and anti-militarist, holds high the values of freedom, commitment and solidarity.
